May 4, 2016 – I drilled the side tracks and installed the aft track on the fuselage.
After measuring the distance between the two side canopy tracks and making sure they were parallel, I drilled them and temporarily screwed them in place.
Then I redrilled the aft sliding track. I had drilled this track previously, but I shouldn’t have. For the holes that existed for the attachment screws, I drilled them up with a #21 drill, and plugged the holes with some -5 rivets. I relocated the screw holes where I had space between existing fasteners in the fuselage, and drilled them.
The forward screw hole lined up perfectly with a rivet, so I drilled that rivet out, and used a hole locator to pick up the hole in the track.

The forward end of the track is supported by a threaded rod which will fine-tune the height at the aft end of the canopy. I installed that rod. It can be adjusted later.
