F-706 bulkhead work
July 17, 2014 – Big day today. It’s the middle of July and temps were only about 80, so I got up a bit early and headed out.
Took some detail pictures of parts of the F706 bulkhead for future reference, then took it apart.
Deburred, cleaned, alodined and primed. While the parts dried, we went out to spend a bit of money on the next item on the ever-present list of things needed for the home improvement project. Damn, I could almost be done with the airplane for the money we’re putting in the house…
When we got back, I got all the parts together, and assembled what I could on the bulkhead. For some reason, the manual does not want me to assemble the F728 channel and angle. I understand I have to get the elevator bellcrank in there, but not sure about the rest… Oh well. As far as I can tell, all the bulkheads are done.
I hung this one up on a hook in the garage, and cleared the table for the next phase.
I’m going to start on the center fuselage with the seat ribs, etc.
